Design Brief:
In groups of 4 (mixed disciplines) working as a design agency, you are to select a designer / architect / researcher you are all passionate about, to create a mock-up exhibit using the representational tool of AR.
Displaying the work of Mathias Bengtsson in the centre of the large dome, this proposed exhibition focuses on how nature inspires innovation and is an immersive experience which would allow visitors to engage with physical work. The main structure would be manufactured using large scale 3D printing and local biodegradable materials to link it to the designers ideology and celebrate biomorphic design.
-
The proposed design would be 3D printed using local soil. The ground would also be made of soil as this would make the experience more immersive. The entrance and exit arches would be made from cardboard which was chosen as it can be readily recycled and is more sustainable than using other materials such as acrylic

The main purpose of this exhibition would be for visitors to enjoy and learn about Mathias Bengtsson’s work as well as reflecting on biomorphic design and how nature inspires innovation
