Deliverables

1. Taxonomy of Materiality. This personal classification system/tool should document your critical exploration of issues relating to materials and associated production processes. It should be elegantly presented graphically, output in pdf format.

2. Design Project. Simple object optimized for 2 part moulding. The design project should be documented in a pdf project report that summarises:

• The intent of your design

• How it has been optimized for utility/performance, desirability and production by 2 part moulding.

Pay particular attention to the graphic layout of your project report to engage and communicate effectively with your audience. Include images of your CAD model and 3D visualisations, photos of your sketch model exploration and final models (a neat sketch model, a moulded prototype and associated moulds/tooling). A concise edited version should be presented at the Project Review Presentation, with an exhibition of your models and prototypes.
